Madison County Chamber Receives Century Award

The Madison County Chamber of Commerce received the Century Award for 100 years of service to the area business community. Secretary of State Connie Lawson presented the award to Chamber President and CEO, Kyle Morey at a ceremony at the Chamber offices.

The original articles of incorporation were displayed with Morey explaining that the documents had come within minutes of being relegated to a trash pile during a purge of a storage area.

In addition to the award, Secretary Lawson provided updates on business issues including Series LLCs, Benefit Corporations and Crowd Funding rules.
