2 FEB 2015 > I remember like it was yesterday when Randy Good, owner of Goods Candy Shop, heard his named announced over the loudspeaker as the winner of the inaugural small business of the year award at the 2012 Annual Awards Gala. His was a look of surprise mingled with good old-fashioned pride. As the audience settled down, Randy--with energized emotion--shared his #courageous story of sacrifice and what it takes to run a business in today's marketplace. His company now exists eternally on the WALL OF FAME.
Fast forward to 26 FEB 2015. Three fabulous finalists---CB Fabricating, Cowpokes Work and Western, and The Edge---will await the announcement of the winner of the Madison County Chamber's keynote award while attending the 2015 Annual Awards Gala. They will each be surrounded by family, friends and coworkers. Fingers will be crossed. The suspense will be thick enough to cut with a knife. Last year's award winners, Ron and Brenda Kinsey of Modern Trailers Sales, will come to the stage, open the red envelope, and announce the Small Business of the Year...
Chris Bardull, Owner of CB Fabricating is Madison County through and through. A native of Pendleton, Barkdull will tell you very simply, “I like Madison County.” His company, CB Fabricating was founded in 2007 and continues to thrive on Anderson’s west side serving a varying customer base including a far ranging offering of Agricultural and Transportation products. > read more
Cowpokes Work and Western
Jeff Boone is from Markleville, Indiana. His wife, Lynnette, is from Montgomery County. They met at Blackhawk College in Illinois. He finished at the University of Illinois; she finished at Middle Tennessee State. When the dust had cleared, they landed back here in Madison County. > read more
